It’s relevant to all types of organizations and helps its holders manage risks effectively. The NEBOSH International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals is ideal for those whose ambition is to be a “Safety Professional” and have a high level career in HSE management.The qualification is made up of 3 units which must be completed within five years:

Unit ID2 : Controlling Workplace Health Issues
Unit ID3 : Controlling Workplace Safety Issues

Academic Reasons

NEBOSH Diploma is equivalent to a university degree (BSc) and can betaken in a shorter period of time. (SQA Accreditation -The NEBOSH International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Accreditation at SCQF Level 10 with 48 SCQF credit points . SCQF Level 10 is comparable to RQF/CQFW Level 6 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.)

The route for people who are working towards becoming a Chartered Members of IOSH. You can apply for Chartered members of IOSH after becoming CSP.

To become a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from Board of Certified Safety Professionals ,USA
Waive the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) examination so that you may sit directly for CSP examination, if you meet all other CSP Eligibility Requirements.

Assessment:

Unit ID1 is assessed by an assignment (in four parts – scenario based case study, workplace based activities, reflective tasks and a research project). Part of the assessment will require learners to undertake some workplace-based activities so need to ensure that they select a suitable workplace/organisation.
Units ID2 & ID3 are assessed by a scenario based case study

(For each assessment, you will be required to participate in a “Professional Discussion Session” to provide assurance that your submission is your own original work)

Assessments will be available twice a year for each unit, with around a month allowed to complete the assignment and return them to NEBOSH.
